Donor Decisions & Beyond: Virtual Support Evening
Event Information
About this Event
For those looking for information on egg or sperm donation in order to conceive, Defining Mum is holding a virtual evening in partnership with Altrui Egg Donation full of support and information on donor conception. You'll have the chance to hear from a recipient, a donor-conceived adult, an egg donor, an author on fertility and one of the UK's leading egg donation experts.
After registration, you will receive an email with a Zoom link, which you will need to access the event. We'll send reminders closer to the 6th, but please check your junk folder, as sometimes the emails end up there. Your email will not be shared with any external parties.
A Message from Defining Mum (Becky Kearns):
As you will know, Coronavirus has well and truly scuppered my plans to host my first live event which had been planned for early May. In the meantime I wanted to still be able to produce some supportive content whilst we remain on lockdown and with huge thanks to Apricity and Altrui we are able to do just that! We are collaborating to bring to you a webinar taking place from 6-7.30pm (GMT) on Wednesday, 6th May.
With the same theme as my real-life event - "Donor Decisions & Beyond" we've teamed up to bring you a virtual opportunity to ask questions and hear from different perspectives, including:
- Myself from the recipient parent perspective
- The perspective of an Altrui egg donor
- The perspective of a donor-conceived adult
- Alison Bagshawe, founder of Altrui to answer questions about the practicalities
- Jana Rupnow LPC (author of Three Makes Baby) to answer questions about some of the emotional challenges
It's free to attend and open to anyone who might benefit. It's the perfect opportunity to listen to those who have been through the process first-hand and ask questions in a safe, supportive and remote environment. The event is for couples as well as those considering solo parenthood.
We'd love to hear what questions you have to ask our speakers - you can ask them on Instagram to @Defining Mum , or by emailing gs@altrui.co.uk
We look forward to virtually seeing you on May 6th!
