DON'T ASSUME YOU'RE SAFE - Cervical Cancer Awareness Q&A Session
Tue 16 May 2017, 18:00 – 20:00 BST
DON'T ASSUME YOU'RE SAFE - Cervical Cancer Awareness Evening at BMI The Alexandra Hospital
Cervical cancer is the most common cancer in women aged under 35, and 3000 women in the UK are diagnosed every year. An abnormal smear can be concerning and should you get called up for a colposcopy, you may not know where to turn to ask the questions you may have. Therefore in partnership with ConsultantCare, we're hosting a Q&A session with Richard Slade, Consultant Gynaecologist at The Alex to help women and men of all ages (whether they have had their smear or not) understand screening, HPV and everything else that comes along with it. The evening is free to attend, and light refreshments and a buffet will be provided.
Please join us so we can help women understand that if you catch it early enough cervical cancer is fully treatable and avoidable, and listen to Mr Slade put all the myths about smears, colposcopy, HPV and CIN diagnosis to bed.
