Donut Time at Venture House

Venture House's Donut Time is open to all & provides an opportunity to get to know other likeminded small businesses whilst increasing your own business profile. Taking place on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, each meeting includes a short 'Top Tips' session from a guest speaker aimed to help your business.

December's Topic: Top tips on going green and the business benefits

Following the Government's announcement that the UK will be zero carbon by 2050, this session will provide practical advice on how to reduce your energy costs by up to 70%, green your products and services, engage your supply chain and employees, improve resource management, promote sustainable credentials to win those tender bids and install low carbon energy technologies through the local grant funded Green Business Programme.

Presented by: James Bridges, Coventry City Council

James is a Sustainability Consultant on the CW Green Business Programme supporting businesses in Coventry and Warwickshire to reduce energy consumption, costs, carbon and environmental impacts. He undertakes environmental audits and provides business grants to help implement the audit recommendations made, for example, to improve lighting, heating systems, equipment, processes etc.

If you are looking for ways to access skills and grow your own talent, the SME Engagement team from Student Opportunity at the University of Warwick will be available during December Donut Time to share the Warwick Summer Internships Programme for 2020 and the support and services available .
