Doodle Into Calm — A February Creative Reset
Overview
As winter begins to soften and the early light of spring approaches, join us for a nurturing and uplifting two-hour creative escape designed to calm the mind, refresh your focus, and gently reconnect you with your imagination.
What to Expect
During this 2-hour workshop, you’ll:
Warm Up With a Creative Grid Exercise
We’ll begin with a series of playful prompts exploring shapes, lines, and patterns. Loosen up your hand, quiet your mind, and slip into an easy creative flow.
Create Your Own A4 Doodle Artwork
Using fine liners, felt tips, or pencil, you’ll develop a mindful, expressive doodle piece. Whether you frame it at home or keep it just for yourself, it will be a beautiful reminder of calm and presence.
Explore the Mental Wellness Benefits of Doodling
We’ll talk about how doodling supports:
- relaxation
- focus and mental clarity
- stress reduction
- emotional grounding
- sparking creativity
This isn’t art with rules — it’s art as wellbeing.
Take Home Your Own Doodling Notebook
Continue your practice at home with your personal doodle journal. Use it as a calm companion through the rest of winter and into spring.
Why Doodle?
Doodling is a gentle, meditative creative act. It allows the mind to wander while giving the body something rhythmic and soothing to do. It’s perfect for:
- easing anxiety
- reconnecting with creativity
- boosting mood during winter
- giving yourself space to pause
- cultivating presence
In February, especially, this small act of creativity can feel like a deep breath before spring’s renewed energy arrives.
All materials will be provided and refreshments available.
Who Is This For?
Adults of all creative levels — from absolute beginners to seasoned artists who want to play, unwind, and reconnect with the joy of simple mark-making.
If you’re seeking a calm, positive, nourishing creative moment in the middle of winter, this session is for you.

About me
I am a full time artist based in the East Midlands. I have a real passion for creativity and produce original paintings that I sell. My other passion and interest is finding ways to help manage wellbeing and the creative avenues we can adopt to support this. After studying Art Therapy, I became particularly interested in the art of Doodling. These simple yet affective exercises have huge benefits.
