Jo Harrison is an illustrator, graphic designer and artist/facilitator. She has been leading creative workshops and art projects since 2008, focussing on participation, wellbeing, and enjoyment for people regardless of their previous artistic experience or education. She is unabashedly enthusiastic about the arts as a way to ease stress and social isolation and her workshops focus on helping people find a way into creativity. Jo was born and bred in Crawley and still lives in West Sussex, she is one of the co-founders of WORDfest in 2011
Dr. Roanna Mitchell is a lecturer, performance-maker and movement person, and course leader of the MA Physical Acting at the University of Kent. Her work explores performance in the intersection between acting and dance, and the ‘third space’ between theatre and therapy. Her work is driven by a love of movement and curiosity about the embodied human experience as both individual and relational, and by what she feels is her responsibility as an artist: to create spaces for people to be, relate, and communicate.
Caroline Beavon is a Brighton-based digital artist, working across animation, illustration, and interactive formats. With a background in journalism and communication, she loves exploring new ways to tell surprising and curious stories. Caroline also runs a regular digital storytelling session where people can explore and create with digital media.
Maggie Slabon is the Technical Manager at Shoreditch Town Hall and a freelancing projection designer. She hones her craft through indulging in contemporary art and diverse events and enjoys the thrill of creating interactive and mixed reality environments that expand the realm of perception. In partnership with WORDFest Crawley
For All Ages
Cost: Tickets are £2.50, £5 and £10. Pay What You Decide**
**What is Pay What You Decide?
Pay What You Decide puts the choice in your hands. It doesn’t matter what price ticket you buy, it won’t affect where your seat is or how good your view is. You get to decide how much you’d like to pay. We are doing this so that there is a price that suits everyone and doesn’t cause a barrier to attending the show. We are testing this way of pricing tickets and would love to hear what you think.
There is no judgement about how much you pay. If you can pay the highest price, please do. Your contribution helps make arts and culture accessible to all in Crawley. If you have any further questions, please email hello@creativecrawley.com
