As part of our celebration for Doors Open Days, we are back with our Women's History Walk!

On our guided walk along the canal, hear stories of Maryhill’s women: the heiress who gave the town her name, the mill workers immortalised in stained glass, the Suffragette who attacked a post-box, and the “wayward girls” who escaped.

Meet at Maryhill Burgh Halls at 10am for a free guided tour along the canal, exploring the history of Maryhill's women - led by Anabel Marsh.

Once back from the walk, come back to the Halls with Anabel for a cuppa and piece of cake.

Anabel Marsh:

Is a cherished Heritage Tour Guide at Maryhill Burgh Halls and researcher and developer of the Women of Maryhill tour! Anabel is also the author of the Jessie Stephen exhibition.

Ages 12+ / sturdy footwear is essential.

This is a popular event, please let us know if you can't make it anymore so that we can release the tickets for other keen women's history enthusiasts.
