Mae Llwybrau at Ieithoedd Cymru a’i phifysgolion partner yn cynnig cyfres o weithdai ffilm, llenyddiaeth a diwylliannol i fyfyrwyr Lefel A sydd wedi eu teilwra ar gyfer y manylebau CBAC UG ac Uwch newydd. Bydd y gweithdai yn rhoi’r cyfle i fyfyrwyr ehangu eu gwybodaeth a datblygu eu sgiliau mewn sesiynau a ddarperir gan academyddion profiadol. Trwy ddadansoddi prif themâu a chymeriadau, pwrpas y gweithdai yw cryfhau dealltwriaeth y myfyrwyr ac i feithrin trafodaeth a meddwl ehangach. Bydd y digwyddiad hefyd yn gyfle i athrawon gael gwybodaeth wrth ddarlithwyr addysg uwch tra’n cryfhau’r cysylltiadau gyda’r brifysgol.

Crynodeb: Bydd y gweithdy diwylliannol yn edrych ar rôl cofadeiladau yn yr Almaen gyfoes, yn enwedig y rhai sy'n ymwneud â'r Holocost a Gweriniaeth Ddemocrataidd yr Almaen. I gychwyn bydd y myfyrwyr yn archwilio amrywiaeth o achosion achos, ac yna'n cymryd rhan mewn sesiwn rhyngweithiol pan fydd gofyn i grwpiau ddylunio eu cofadeil eu hunain i goffáu digwyddiadau neu bobl allweddol yn hanes diweddar yr Almaen. Bydd y gweithdy'n berthnasol i bawb sy'n astudio Almaeneg a bydd yn cynnwys yr iaith yn ogystal ag agweddau pwysig o ddiwylliant a hanes yr Almaen gyfoes.

Routes into Languages Cymru and partner universities are offering a series of film, literature and culture workshops tailored to the new AS and A2 WJEC specification. The workshops provide students with opportunities to increase their knowledge and develop their skills in sessions delivered by expert academics.Through the analysis of key topics, such as main themes and characters, the workshops aim to strengthen the students’ comprehension and generate further discussion and thought. This event also gives teachers the opportunity to obtain information from the HE lecturers whilst establishing links with the university.

Monuments and memory in contemporary Germany

Session delievered by: Dr Anna Saunders.

Synopsis:

This cultural workshop will examine the role of monuments in contemporary Germany, in particular those that relate to the Holocaust and to the GDR. Students will first examine a selection of case-studies, and then take part in an interactive session, in which groups will be asked to design their own monuments in remembrance of key events or personalities in recent German history. The workshop will be of relevance to all students of German, and will incorporate the German language, as well as important elements of the culture and history of contemporary Germany.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is free for maintained LEA schools, but there will be a fee of £15 per pupil for independent/private/English schools. Routes Cymru will invoice schools after the event.
