Competition Rules.

We can only accept 30 cake entries in total for judging so please send in your completed entry/registration form as soon as possible to reserve your place in the competition. The deadline for registering is Sunday, 29th May 2022. On the day of the competition, (Sunday, 5th June) your cake must be submitted not later than 10:00 am at the cake display table under the marquee. Cake covers will be provided on the day to protect your cakes during the viewing/judging period which will finish 1:00 pm. For consistency/ fairness reasons we ask that submissions be uniformly "similar" as specified below.

• The cake you submit must be a Victoria Sponge.

• Note that fresh cream is not allowed to be used as an ingredient, however buttercream is optional.

• Cake shape to be round.

• Maximum cake size diameter to be 30 cm

• Maximum cake height to be 13 cm

• The deadline for for registering for the competition is Sunday, 29th May, 2022

The competition Judge will be Jan Cook of the Women's Institute and the winner will be announced after 1:00 pm

Prizes will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
