Event description

Description

As a retired Chemical Engineer, Peter Emery picked up an old welding rod, bent it and went dowsing … but not for water. He was seeking for the hidden archaeological history of Dorset. The image above is his artist's impression of the Roman fort at Dorchester, based on his dowsing investigations there. He will explain a very down to earth theory on how archaeological dowsing works, and then lead us on a walk through time to explore the presence of our ancestors in Dorset from Medieval to the Neolithic.

Doors will open from 7pm for wine and soft drinks.

£6.50 + booking fee.
