Description

Dr Le Guennec is a fashion anthropologist and is the Director of Fashion Studies at the School of Textiles and Design at Heriot Watt University. From her academic background and first career as a Fashion curator, she developed a specific interest in the material culture and the way it informs society. Specialising in children’s fashion, Aude completed a PhD at the University of Paris Sorbonne addressing the role of Fashion in Children’s Socialisation and Education. As a freelance curator, Aude has set up exhibitions on children’s fashion and fashion heritage for renowned international museums. She is currently curating “Dressed for School”, an original interdisciplinary research project, which will be presented in the French National Museum of Education in 2021.
