Recyke y'Bike and Durham County Council are teaming up to get more people on 2, 3 or 4 wheels! To do this, Recyke y'Bike is offering a free Dr Bike in Chester-le-Street (Venue TBC) on Wednesday 24th September from 11-2. A Dr Bike is a basic health check, focusing on gears, brakes and minor adjustments- if your bike needs more work, we will recommend what to get done.

What is a Dr Bike?

A Dr Bike is a free health check on your bike. Our qualified mechanics will check over the bikes and do some minor adjustments and parts replacements, such as gear and brake cable replacements. We are unable to any major repairs.

Our qualified bike mechanics, who have YEARS of experience working on all types of bikes

How long will it take?

Depends on your bike, but usually around 10-30 mins depending on the condition of the bike

What is Recyke y'Bike

Recyke y'Bike is a bike recycling charity based in Byker and Chester-le-Street. We take bikes that were headed to the landfill, refurbish them and then either sell them on or give them to people who cannot afford a bike.
