New for the summer term 2022: Educational Psychotherapy and Trauma-Informed Practice

The Caspari Foundation presents a series of specially curated continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities for Educational Psychotherapists, child psychotherapists, teachers and colleagues interested in this area.

Sessions focus on different stages of the life cycle from the earliest relationship between primary carer and infant, through primary school and into adolescence.

Theoretical ideas and approaches from different modalities will be considered alongside our unique lens - Educational Psychotherapy.

All sessions will be live on Zoom.

A Certificate of Continuous Professional Development will be provided to attendees – useful evidence for re-accreditation purposes.

Opportunities for discussion are built into sessions 1-3 which are small group learning experiences, limited to 8 attendees per session. You will be joining our 4th year Advanced Diploma trainees.

Attendees at Session 4 with Graham Music (limited to 100 places) are invited to stay on after Graham leaves at 8pm for a group discussion chaired by Educational Psychotherapists until 8.30pm.

Graham will share insights from ‘RESPARK – Igniting hope and joy after trauma and depression’, using his decades of experience to guide us in reigniting zest and optimism in troubled adults and children. About our speaker

Graham Music PhD is a consultant child and adolescent psychotherapist at the Tavistock Centre and an adult psychotherapist in private practice. Formerly Associate Clinical Director of the Tavistock Clinic’s Child and Family Department, he works at the Portman as a forensic psychotherapist and, for decades, his main clinical experience has been with patients suffering from trauma.

He has developed a range of services working with the aftermath of child maltreatment and neglect in about 30 schools. He supervises and teaches nationally and internationally and has a particular interest in linking cutting- edge developmental findings with therapeutic practice.
