In this one day workshop A&E consultant Dr Rob Galloway delivers an invigorating and challenging introduction to human factors in health care, covering the following topics:

• The principles of ‘human factors’ – why errors occur.
• Human cognitive biases (eg. in memory, reasoning, decision-making).
• Practical skills/tools to improve individual/team performance and patient safety.
• An optional ‘train the trainer’ session.

Join us to hear personal examples of how his knowledge and experience of human factors has made a difference in clinical processes, team working and communication. By the end of the day you will have a greater understanding and appreciation of how human factors training can create a safer place for patients and a more productive environment for health care workers.
