About this event
We will provide lunches both days as well as a meet and great on Firday evening at our facility a short 15 minutes away...the site of the hands on portion on Saturday.
Day 1. Lectures
1. From fetus to maturity: the equine hoof.
2. The hoof of the horse: an overview.
3. Hoof cracks and hoof repair.
4. Causes affecting hoof shape.
5. Farriery to change hoof shape.
6. A review of foot balance.
Day 2. Advanced farrier practices.
1. Demonstration of assessment of a horse.
2. Team assessment.
3. Team shoeing.
4. Reassessment of horses.
Air travel can be booked into either RDU (Raleigh NC) or GSO (Greensboro NC). Hotels can be best found on line in Sanford NC.
Our hands on portion will be at our facility "The Hoof Redevelopment Center" at 375 T Johnson Road; Carthage NC 28327. A short 15 minutes from the lecture day venue.
All attendees will be provided lunch both days as well as coffee in the morning both days.
