About this event

Glasgow Caledonian University’s Masterclass series brings world-class speakers to the University to share expertise and ideas, encouraging discussion and debate. The talks are delivered to students, staff and graduates, as well as the wider community.

Next up in our series will be Dr Tessa Hartmann CBE on the 12th May 2022. A brand strategist and creative communications consultant, Tessa is also a regular media commentator across broadcast and print. With over 24 years of luxury brand marketing experience she has founded, and produced, award winning global events including the Scottish Fashion Awards and Jersey Style Awards.

Tessa received an honorary degree from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2012 for her contribution to the fashion and textile industry in Scotland, and went on to be awarded an CBE in 2016, honoured for her contribution to British fashion and textiles.

Earlier this year Tessa launched HartiSWIM, a capsule swimwear collection with sustainability at its core. HartiSWIM is wearable art, glamour with a conscience, swimwear made from recycled plastic bottles from the ocean, featuring original art from Harti, Tessa’s husband.

Join us on 12th May at 6pm, to hear about Dr Hartmann’s exceptional career to date, including the launch of her new sustainable swimwear line.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A. You can submit your question(s) in advance or ask live on the night.
