Event description

Description

17/3/20 - Following the Prime Minister's advice to the public to avoid pubs, clubs, and theatres in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the show has been postponed. We are a profit-share production with no Arts Council or external support; many of the cast have lost their second jobs because of the virus and now face food insecurity/housing insecurity; one cast member is expecting his firstborn child any day now. We are therefore asking all ticketholders to be patient until the pandemic subsides and we can reschedule the show, rather than requesting refunds, and to consider donating to the cast hardship fund (https://www.gofundme.com/f/immersivedracula). We will also be organising a livestream of Gothic fiction soon to raise additional money and give you a behind-the-scenes peek at the production! When we return we will honour all tickets that have already been puchased. As a cast we will take this time to continue refining the show, and when we are resurrected the extra rehearsal time will mean an even better performance than we could have given otherwise! We are greateful for your patience in these unprecedented times and will continue to provide updates whenever we have them through the Immersive Dracula social media feeds. We will rise again!

You know the story, now experience the horror...

"The Dracula family are pleased to invite you to an auction of spectacular antiques dating from the late 19th Century and once belonging to our much maligned ancestor Voivoide (Count) Vladimir Tepes Aldea Dracula III. Viewable to the public for the first time since the Count's disappearance in 1895, the items include Mina Harker's journal, Van Helsing's crucifix, and an original oil portrait of the Count himself, which has not been seen since his vanishment.

We vehemently hope that the viewing of these valuables will vindicate the Voivoide as virtuous and valorous, despite the scurrilous supernatural slanders of Bram Stoker.

Dress Code - Smart Gothic"

Join the cast as we bring our own spin to this sexy, scary tale of rebirth, repression and rebellion! Step by step we lead our audience back in time to their own private horror story: once the scene is set and the characters introduced you are free to roam from room to room. Depending on which characters you follow you may experience a completely different story!

Who will you believe? Whose actions will you be complicit in? And can monsters really never walk in the sun?

The show will be followed by music in the bar, and, for VIP Ticket Holders, a free drink plus post-show Q&A with Oliver Thorn (Dracula, creator of Philosophy Tube) chaired by one of the other producers.

The organisers reserve the right to remove without a refund any audience members who become overly intoxicated. Guests should be advised that this is an immersive theatre event where walking between rooms and up staircases is required. A bar is available; guests are advised to bring cash as there is a £10 minimum card payment. This event is 16+. Please be advised that the show deals with themes of trauma, assault, and sexual violence, and performances will feature fake blood.
