About this event

Interactive drama. Compelling. Immersive. Memorable. Bringing real issues alive.

A patient of the practice has an enduring mental illness and a new diagnosis of COPD.

What happens in a consultation when the physical condition takes centre stage?

Join colleagues online, watch Dave’s drama unfold, discuss how it could go better.

How does it work?

During this 2-hour online interactive session, you will be led by professional actors to influence and discuss patient experience, communication needed to support this, and reflect on your own practice.

Who is it for?

Anyone who might work with people with Severe Mental Illness (SMI).

The session was co-developed by Public Health and Surrey Stakeholders, and will be delivered by Acting Out Productions.

If you have any questions, or would like to attend but can't make any of the proposed times, please email publichealthtraining@surreycc.gov.uk.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to do?

The session will be online, all attendees will receive a link closer to the time. We recommend each participant joins on their own device, to allow easier participation. However, it would work to have one device in a room with multiple people if that is the best set-up for you.
