Join Bristol Energy Network for a hands-on workshop where they will be giving you the chance to learn simple and practical DIY draught-proofing that you can then use on your own home. We will provide you with somefree DIY items for you to take home. By addressing air leaks and improving thermal performance, you can make a big difference in your home’s energy efficiency without a huge investment! This workshop will focus on DIY draught-proofing skills and practical solutions you can apply to your home to make it more energy efficient and comfortable. No prior experience or DIY skills are needed!
Who is this for?
These free workshops are open to anyone who would like to come along! Before attending, please sign up for Bristol Energy Network's Energy Champion newsletter here. Whether you’re a homeowner or renter, this workshop is for anyone interested in improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon and enhancing comfort in their home. No prior experience is required, and all abilities are welcome!

Many thanks to Retrofit West for funding these workshops! Retrofit West offer free expert advice to help people with many aspects of retrofit, choose the right home upgrades, and connect people with trusted contractors.
Attendees get a free Draught-proofing kit:
- 1 x Radiator Heat Reflector Foil
- 1 x Door Draught Excluder (double seal OR bottom brush, depending on stock / door type)
- Knife set (1 small or 1 big per kit, until stock runs out)
- 1 x Pack of EPDM Rubber Strip (E or P profile, cut into household-sized lengths)
- 1 x Flexible Filler (Toupret Fill-Flex or Patch & Repair Filler)
- 1 x Sealant (general purpose silicone OR decorators caulk, plus dispenser if needed)
- 1 x Chimney Seal (if applicable to the household – maybe optional/limited)
- 1 x Hydrometer (to measure damp/humidity)
- 1 x Expanding foam
- 1 x Sealant dispenser
