Get ready to unleash your artistic side and enjoy a day of foraging and artistry by drawing colour from the woods! Join us at Horner Farm to learn how to make natural inks with artist Ibby Lanfear.
With the emphasis on curiosity, exploration and experimentation, you will practice the ‘art of attention’ and learn to make a range of natural inks, that are both water and alcohol based. Topics that will be covered include the sustainable gathering of materials, importance of local colour knowledge and how fostering closer relationships with the natural world can ultimately help the reintroduction of species such as the pine marten. You will return home at the end of the day with your own bottles of ink!
Above all, the day is intended to be fun with no pressure or expectation. No prior experience is needed however this workshop is for adults only. There are 10 spaces available for this workshop that must be booked through Eventbrite. This workshop is free and all materials will be provided, as will tea and coffee, but please bring your own packed lunch on the day. You will need to arrange your own transportation to the event location. There are toilet facilities at the venue.
