About this event

Drawing Projects UK is delighted to present this online Drawing Discussion - with Harriet Mena Hill and Catherine O'Donnell - alongside the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2021 exhibition on Tuesday 30 November 2021 at 6pm.

Selected artists, Harriet Mena Hill and Catherine O'Donnell will introduce their drawings selected for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2021 exhibition and the nature of making drawings in response to urban architecture and lived-in spaces with Professor Anita Taylor followed by a Q&A with the audience.

Harriet Mena Hill's drawings - Demolition Field: Chiltern, Aylesbury Estate, 2020 , Silverpoint and graphite on tissue paper, 57 x 62 x 12cm and Before The Beginning And After the End: The Aylesbury Fragments, 2021 , Graphite on salvaged demolition concrete, 38 x 18 x 12cm - are drawings of a large block of flats called Chiltern on the Aylesbury Estate in London as it was being stripped out pending demolition. It was home to some of the residents she has worked with over the past 3 years

Catherine O'Donnell's drawing, Yesterdays Dreams, 2021 , Charcoal on paper, 115 x 61cm reflects her wider practice that is anchored in the suburbs, depicting the urban aesthetic which shapes and informs everyday lives.
