About this event

Come along to this relaxed and stimulating drawing workshop and develop your artistic skills, under the guidance of expert artist and teacher, Nataliya Zozulya.

This workshop is perfect as both a progression for people who have attended our ‘Drawing from Scratch’ class and also for those with very little experience of drawing, who want to gain more confidence in their technique, or more confident artists wishing to work on the specific techniques for drawing faces.

During the workshop, you will learn how to draw an accurate likeness of the human face. Nataliya will illustrate the basic geometric structures of the skull and facial features and emphasise the importance of correct proportion and consistent angle of view in a well-constructed portrait. Within the class we will cover proportions, the structure of the skull, laws of light, achieving likeness and facial features.

Please bring along with you an A3 pad of paper for sketching, with paper thickness no less then 200g, a set of graphite pencils including B, 2B, 4B, 6B and 8B, a sharpener or knife to sharpen the pencils and an eraser.

Nataliya Zozulya is a professional and practising artist, who graduated from the National Academy of Fine Art and Architecture in Kiev and worked as the professor assistant for the Fine Art Department there for more than 15 years. She lives with her family in Kingston.
