Drawing from the Masters

Drawing from the Masters

By Ayşe Kongur

Overview

We are meeting in Oxford Ashmolean Museum, Western Art Print Room for a day of drawing and exploring.

We are meeting again in Oxford, Ashmolean Museum Western Art Print Room for more inspiring Art. After the success of the October gathering, I booked for another two hours of session on a weekend in the winter term for an observational drawing experience inspired by the Renaissance masters.

This event has an early morning visit to the library for a small number, up to 10 people but in the afternoon it has a more relaxed programme of drawing from the Ashmolean Museum cast gallery statues with anyone who fancies. I am going to lead and tutor a group of you for an extra drawing session in the cast gallery studying Greek or Roman classical statues, however, you're more than welcome to explore the current exhibitions if you'd like to instead.

The afternoon session is a free, drop-in life drawing at the museum which would roughly end around 4-5pm.

All the events are free to attend, together we will make it fun a packed Art day away.
