In this two hour workshop artist Maggie Roberts will introduce the ancient practice of manifestation grids, geometric layouts that have been used across cultures and across time to expand and transform human experience.
The sacred geometry that underpins manifestation practices is believed to align personal intentions with broader universal energies. Roberts will share her interpretation of each of the six interconnected nodes of the geometry – for her, a multi-dimensional map designed to reconnect with deep time, invisible agents, and ancestral wisdom, channelling imagination, agency and purpose towards change, individually, collectively and planetary.
Drawing from her recent experiences of working with her own layout, Roberts will emphasise the importance of creating a geometry unique to you, and of carefully choosing the symbolic object or cluster that will define each node.
Held within Sheer Presence: While They Are Here…, Roberts’ solo exhibition at IMT Gallery, we will first move into a quietened attentive space with a guided meditation. We will then draw our own manifestation layout according to the geometric pattern at the centre of the exhibition, label each node and note its purpose, then populate the nodes with representations of your chosen symbolic objects. Roberts will then guide you through getting to know your layout and finding your own way into focusing your attention in communication with this multidimensional tool.
Please bring drawing materials such as pencils, pens, ruler, watercolours or gouache, along with six crystals or other conductive objects (for example copper wire) to connect and activate your nodes.
In preparation, take some time to reflect on your central presence, an avatar or symbolic figure that embodies your most powerful self. This will serve as the anchor of your manifestation layout.
