Join us for a Drawing Meetup at The Victoria and Albert Museum!

We will be drawing at the museum the whole day until close, on Thursday 21st of August from 10:00am to 5pm.

Entry to the museum is free and is not ticketed at the museum, I recommend getting there early to avoid waiting in line. You do not need to book a ticket with us, but doing so will allow us to track how many people will be attending. The museum opens at 10 am and closes at 5:45pm. We will wait for 20 minutes for everyone to arrive. Possibly by the entrance or at the café inside for people to eat and warm up (The location will be announced on the day, more info on our discord). There will be breaks in between the session to eat, drink, chat, and rest.

Anyone is invited no matter the skill level. If you are interested in increasing your visual library and drawing from direct observation, then this meetup is for you , as well as a chance to meet artists in person who share an interest in developing their skills.

You can join and leave at any time, you do not have to stay for the whole session just make sure that you take a look at the last entry time.

This is a great way for people who do not have a ticket for Concept 101 to meet other artists and make new friends, as well as having an art related event to attend. And for the people who do have a ticket, you will get to meet each other beforehand, making it more comfortable for people when attending the conference as you would have already met the day before.

Just Draw and Meetups is an artist community for serious artists, who want to improve their fundamentals and increase their visual library. We arrange in-person meetups within the UK, to draw from observation and to meet other artists with the same interest in drawing fundamentals.

Whether you are a professional artist or not, as long as you have the interest in entertainment art and the drive for improving your skills, then this community is suited for you. We have a Discord server where events are announced, as well as online drawing sessions for people to join. The server is also a place for people to set up their own in-person drawing sessions in their local area, so if there are no official meetups then you can organize your own on the server.

We aim to keep these events free or as budget friendly as possible, to make the community easily accessible.

No matter the skill level, If you are a professional artist working in the entertainment industry, or you are aspiring to be one , or a serious hobbyist who is interested in concept art/visual development, then you are welcome to join in.
