Drawing the Renaissance
Overview
Our Drawing the Renaissance series are suitable for beginner and experienced artists alike and split into two parts. The first 30 minutes will focus on selected history and themes of the Renaissance and the final 90 minutes is a drawing session linking to some of the artworks we have discussed.
🎓 Learn about how people lived, traded and dressed in Renaissance Europe. Each week we look at different paintings and cover different topics.
🎨 Draw in the galleries, inspired by some of the paintings we have looked at. Our semi-guided drawing sessions are suitable for both beginner and experienced artists alike. We will start with some group exercises to warm up before taking on some longer drawings individually. We'll be on hand to guide and encourage newer artists with suggestions and can provide materials for those who do not have their own.
🌍 Located at the National Gallery in London (not affiliated). Meet inside the Sainsbury Wing entrance.
FAQ's - Please find answers to FAQ's below, especially if you are bringing your own materials as the NG have rules about what you can and can't draw with. We are very grateful to the National Gallery for allowing private tour groups and art sessions so ask all attendees to abide by their guidelines so that we are allowed back! If you have any other questions about our events please don't hesitate to get in touch, we will try to respond within 24 hours, or 48 hours over the weekend.
