Event description

Description

A Walk on Mount Caburn Associated Workshop

A day of drawing, using pencil, graphite sticks and graphite powder.

The aim of the class is to translate and develop initial sketches, sketchbook images or photos of participants so that they evolve into a more finalized work of art or at least setting an objective to become a finished piece.

The class will explore ways to push an image or idea forward on it’s creative journey, through the use of a range of methods and approaches e.g. scaling up, abstraction, allowing the materials being used to guide how an image develops.

Within the class the participants will broaden their own visual language through the different types of mark making that can be achieved through the medium of graphite. This will enable and inspire further exploration of the individual own work and ideas.

Materials to bring along to the class; selection of drawing pencils, graphite pencils (2B & 5B), putty rubber, erasure and smudge sticks. All other materials will be supplied.
