Drawn Style Monoprint Workshop

Drawn Style Monoprint Workshop

By South West Heritage Trust

Overview

Learn to create bold monochrome prints using ink and natural tools

Join us for a creative outdoor session exploring the art of drawn-style monoprints. Working with blue/black oil-based ink on coated card, you’ll learn how to create striking monochrome prints by drawing directly into ink. Experiment with natural and found tools and discover how to lift ink with cotton buds or gauze for lighter effects.

You’ll have the chance to explore the museum grounds or the beautiful Abbey Barn for inspiration, working from life or your own sketches. It’s a relaxed, creative experience that combines outdoor observation with hands-on printmaking.

What to bring:

  • Sketchbook, pens/pencils
  • Reading glasses (if needed)
  • Something to sit on outdoors
  • Gloves (optional, for inky hands!)
