This Frieze week, visitors are invited to close their eyes and step into an artist’s imagination with ‘Dreaming Together’, a radical new project from The Groucho Club and Bompas & Parr that transforms sleep into a collective cultural experience, featuring the dreams of Jamiu Agboke, Danny Fox, Tai Shani and Michaela Yearwood-Dan.
The Groucho Club has long been a haven where artists, actors, writers and musicians dream together and share ideas. In an ode to this, they have invited a range of artists to journal their experience as they journey into their pop up dream laboratory. Hosted in one of the 17 bedrooms at The Groucho Club, the Nap Room will offer an hour-by-hour bookable journey into the subconscious. Guests can select from a curated dream menu, choosing whose dream they wish to share and in turn, carry fragments of an artist’s subconscious into their own night-time journeys. This collective dreaming experiment blurs the line between waking and sleeping life, art and science, intimacy and performance.
