About this event
Speaker: Victoria Settle
Venue: ONLINE via Zoom and CATCH-UP for 28 days.
Event Description:
In this brand-new workshop for Brighton Therapy Partnership our trainer Tori Settle will help us explore the fascinating world of dreams.
If you have ever felt anxious about how to interpret your clients’ dreams or felt pressure to ‘come up with the goods’ then this workshop is for you. If you have never spent time working with your own dreams but feel a curiosity to do so, then here is your chance to make that start.
This workshop looks at all aspects of dream life including nightmares, repetitive dreams, dream language and links to our unconscious life.
In the first half of this workshop, we will look at some theoretical models, including Freud, Jung, Perl, Farady, and cognitive theory, and their approaches to working with and understanding dreams. The second half of the workshop will be largely experiential. We will work with delegates’ own dreams, and there will be the opportunity to bring a dream of your own to share in a small, supportive group where the discovery of the themes and motifs of the dream can be facilitated.
You are invited to come to the workshop with a recent dream that you might be willing to work on, but it absolutely isn’t a requirement of participating! Everyone, regardless of your level of clinical experience or modality of working is very welcome.
