What are the SMART learning outcomes for the course?
Specific-By the end of the course participants will be able to perform a full wound assessment, accurately identifying wound characteristics (e.g. wound type, size, depth, exudate amount and colour and note any signs of infection.
Participant will be able to select right dressings for different types of wounds
Measurable-This course is delivered by the Community Tissue Viability Team based on the NWCSP
Achievable-During the session, your knowledge and skills will be checked repeatedly to ensure they are imbedded with use of practical demonstrations and the Pose-Pause-Pounce-Bounce technique.
Relevant- All aspects of the session will be relevant to nurses from all clinical settings making sure that participants leave with actionable skills, assessable competencies, and a clear understanding of their role in wound management
