Class Dates:
Set 1: Week 1 - 3rd May, Week 2 - 10th May, Week 3 - 17th May, Week 4 - 24th May, Week 5 - 31st May.
Set 2: Week 1 - 6th June, Week 2 - 13th June, Week 3 - 20th June, Week 4 - 27th June, Week 5 - 4th July.
In this 5 week class you will be able to bring in your own dressmaking projects to make under the guidance of our experienced tutor. You will be shown how to measure yourself correctly and choose the correct size to make; how to trace off your pattern pieces and grade or adjust as necessary; and how to assemble your pattern, including using notches, inserting zippers or buttonholes, and finish your seams.
Simple patterns suitable for beginners or adventurous beginners are best. If you need guidance picking a pattern then our team in store can help guide you.
You will need to provide all your own fabric and notions, again our in store team can assist with understanding fabric and notions charts.
This class is over 5 days on consecutive weeks, you will need to be able to attend all the dates to make the best use of this course. Missed dates cannot be swapped.
Supplied: Machines, Scissors, Pins, Tape Measures, Tea and Coffee.
Required: Fabric, Sewing Pattern, Haberdashery, Lunch.
Our sewing classes are suitable for anyone over the age of 18.
