If you have done some sewing already and are looking to begin making your own clothing, then this course will be just what you need to get started. We will cover everything you need to know to start making your own wardrobe, including:

  • How to measure yourself and choose a pattern size
  • Understanding the back of a pattern envelope
  • Tracing pattern pieces
  • Understanding pattern markings
  • Darts
  • Gathering
  • Installing a zipper
  • Sewing a buttonhole
  • Sewing on a button with your machine
  • Finishing your woven edges
  • Hemming


Mastering these techniques will give you the confidence to dive into the world of dressmaking when you get back home.
