For thousands of years, in different cultures, the harp has been used to relax the body and calm the mind. This is a 21st century continuation of a very ancient practice.

Drift Away sessions are a chance to set some time apart from a busy week. The live, improvised harp music creates a bubble of relaxation in which you can do whatever is right for you - you might like to mediate, read, do some yoga or simply close your eyes and drift off. Being on zoom, you can get yourself really comfortable at home, surrounded by whatever it is you need. Your camera isn't on and you don't need to speak or contribute in any way.

Drift away sessions are a wonderful preventative treatment to help keep a healthy and relaxed mind. They are not intended as a therapy or cure for those experiencing serious mental health problems and are not recommended in this situation.

Headphones are highly recommended but not essential. A comfy place to sit or lie to enjoy it IS essential. Please only take part if it is safe for you to fall asleep.

After the event you will have an opportunity to pay what it was worth to you taking into account your means. The suggested amount is £8 but there is absolutely no pressure to pay it.
