Event description
Come and join our relaxed life drawing session with a glass of complimentary glass of wine and plate of cheese.

About this Event

If you enjoy doodling and sketching and just want the chance to do some life drawing in a friendly relaxed atmosphere then come and check out our monthly class. The session will take place in our bar area so for those of you who are new to life drawing and maybe feeling a tad awkward or nervous having a complimentary glass of wine will help. And what could go better with wine and life drawing you ask? Cheese! Yes there will be cheese and crackers available before, after and during the break. There will also be bottomless tea and coffee available along with some biscuits for dunking.

This class is for anyone 16 or over, whether you’re a regular at life drawing classes or you can barely hold a pencil, everyone is welcome. This is an untaught session to come and practise .

Please bring whichever materials you feel comfortable working with, from some charcoal to a biro, a small sketch pad to A3 sheets of paper. There will be a limited amount drawing board and materials available on a first come first serve basis.

This session is a chilled out place to have a go if you haven't drawn before and also a perfect opportunity for the more experienced artists to practise. You are encouraged to come from 6:00pm to chat and make the most of the cheese and crackers. There is a 20 minute break in the middle to finish off the fromage and get your complimentary glass of wine. To make our model feel as comfortable as possible we would ask you to follow standard life drawing etiquette and talk quietly.

NOTICE - CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

Make CIC will remain open to the public, but please note the following.

For all of us this really is uncharted territory. The best thing we can do for now is to follow the advice we’re given, and to be calm and collected in our response. What we can be certain about though is that we’ll try to do our best, and do what we think is right at the time.

We want people to know we are taking the current outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) very seriously. We are monitoring government advice daily. The current government advice is that there is presently no reason why we should be closed to the public and should operate as normal - but with increased efforts to enable social distancing practices and heightened cleanliness.

The types of classes that take place at Make CIC are most often small, giving ample opportunity for participants to implement social distancing and good hygiene practices. It is our intention to take a view of each class individually and where possible we will remain open, but in a responsible way. We may take reasonable actions, such as limiting class capacity and encouraging the use of contactless payments.

We insist however that if anyone is themselves experiencing the listed symptoms, suspects they might be, or have come into contact recently with someone who has - then we insist that you must not attend. In line with our refund policy, we would be happy to offer tickets to be transferred to a later date.

Thank you for supporting Make CIC, the sole traders, freelancers and small businesses that make up our community and practitioners.
