Dance Reading 2016 presents
Join Reading’s own Drishti Dance for a beautiful and colourful evening of Kathak dance. Chaturang, (which means ‘the four colours’) takes the ancient Indian dance form to new levels through 4 stunning dance pieces.
Experience Laya Anulaya, a technical study that creates a dialogue with a live percussionist and the dancer. Panchatva reimagines a pure form of the dance with digital media. Aur Ek Antaraal using contemporary Kathak to fuse music and poetry was first performed at The Place, London.
Choreographed and performed by this exceptional, Reading based professional company, they will explore traditional and contemporary forms, fusing digital media, music and poetry into a night of storytelling and wonder.
Dance Reading is a celebratory month of dance brought to you by Junction Dance in association with the Reading Dance Professionals Network, Reading’s Year of Culture, The Cultural Partnership and Arts Council England.
