Drive-in Movies at The Duke of Cambridge - Elf
Event Information
About this Event
Join us for our festive programme of events, which will be taking place at The Duke of Cambridge, Tilford in Surrey, kicking off with a series of Drive-In Movies in the pub's field.
Get into the Christmas spirit and treat yourself to a different kind of movie experience, an American Drive-In Movies version, where you get to enjoy some nostalgia by watching the hilarious 2003 classic Elf. Don't forget to dress up warm and pack your pillows and blankets to cosy on down!
Buddy, a human, was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa's elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn't fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs, a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results
In line with government guidelines, all cars will be socially distance spaced, and we ask that you refrain from exiting your vehicles unless wishing to spend a penny (in the toilet, that is!). Deliciously cooked pub food (plus popcorn and sweets) and drinks can be purchased and delivered to your car - so you can sit back and enjoy!
As we are licensed premises, we do ask you to avoid bringing food and drink with you.
Upon arrival, you will be directed to your allocated car space, whereby you will receive a blue-tooth speaker, which will provide excellent sound for the movie, alongside a menu (should you be thirsty or hungry). Only card payments will be accepted on the day.
Please arrive 40 - 30 minutes prior to the film starting, in order to be directed to your car space and to receive all relevant information and equipment.
Gates open at 6.20 pm with the movie kicking off at 7 pm sharp and finishing at 8.45 pm.
