Event description

DrivenWoman is organising a special introduction event in Guildford to celebrate the first anniversary of the network in the Surrey area.

In addition to our regular introduction routine, we will have several DrivenWoman entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs sharing their success stories and tips for those of you who want more out of life and your career. This event is a great opportunity to start preparing your personal change, towards a more satisfying life.

The 5th October event agenda:

6-7pm Doer Stories

Compelling stories of women who have decided to reach for their dreams and live a fuller life in general. We hear stories of changing corporate career to pursue your dream, turning a hobby into a profession, becoming a start-up entrepreneur in middle age, setting up an ethos driven business with two young children.

7-9pm Introduction to DrivenWoman

We hear about DrivenWoman network and 'Lifeworking' method, where in monthly meetings women can share their dreams, develop themselves and draw action plans to achieve their goals. DrivenWoman has empowered women now for four years in their journeys. We belive spiritual, physical and economic wealth can all be combined with the right mindset.

We do a couple of eye opening value&purpose exercises and talk about positive accountability in order to achieve your goals.

My story is about how I went from a 9 to 5 Corporate Finance queen to a passionate entrepreneur and turned my hobby of photography into a business.

Name: Natalie Davison

Title: Swell Communications Director

I managed to exit the drudgery of a working life, mostly male dominated, to create an existence that is more creative, fulfilling and rewarding. After years of never putting myself first I finally had my epiphany in a Driven Woman meeting nearly 2.5 years ago. I quit my job within days and have never looked back. Now I'm the founder and director of my own PR company, creating content, sharing stories and making waves.

Name: Miisa Mink

After successful career in international branding and design, DrivenWoman was born as a result of her inner need to redefine her values and beliefs when the traditional success formula did not resonate anymore. DrivenWoman is now a fast growing ‘ecosystem’, helping hundreds of women embrace success in broader terms; living fulfilling, balanced life whilst following a work path with a deeper meaning.

My story is about making my BIG dream come true, which required my whole family to relocate to another country, investing savings and two years of non-paid working time. I changed my well-paid real estate development director position to become a tech start-up entrepreneur at the age of 45. I am a mom of three of which the youngest was only 1-year-old at the time of our relocation. DrivenWoman network has been a strong support on my journey that has required faith, resilience, patience and stepping our of your comfort zone.

Dreams don’t come true because it’s difficult to stick to our own plans.

DrivenWoman is a network for women with ideas and ambition who want to achieve their goals.

But imagine if you actually achieved what you always wanted. Launched that business, wrote that novel, made that career change, lived a bigger life – how amazing would that be?

DrivenWoman is a members’ network that helps women define their own success, become accountable to their goals and make dreams happen. We get together once a month to create positive habits and put plans into action, one small step at a time.

DrivenWoman Surrey group sessions are held in The Guildford Institute. We have members from various towns/villages in Surrey. We all share the passion of getting more out of life; many having big dreams, some are still searching for their purpose. Whatever your situation is, you are warmly welcome. 100% confidentiality and sisterhood are guaranteed.

We offer 6 or 12-month memberships and you can join any month suitable for you.

This is where networking meets life coaching, but this time your coaches are other women sharing their journey. The really powerful thing about going through the shared experience of ‘LifeWorking’ is that it impacts directly on your positivity and belief in your own potential. Instead of the sense of isolation you may have felt before, you will be inspired by the stories of other participants and will soon notice that the obstacles you thought were unique to you are universal to most women.

There aren’t any other forums like this where women support each other in such a safe and honest environment. It's a community that encourages women to believe anything is possible if you are ready to put work into it!

Join our Introduction evening where you will:

- Articulate what you want to achieve – what does your ‘bigger life’ look like?

- Set your long-term goal and short-term tasks, and break them down into tangible, achievable action points you can tackle

- Share and hear stories of other like-minded women. Be inspired by the stories of other participants and notice that the obstacles you thought were unique to you are universal to most women.

- Get a sense of clarity of your journey ahead, be it to start your own business, take your career to the next level or simply to become more comfortable in your own skin.

There is no commitment to join DrivenWoman after the intro. Just come along and enjoy this standalone event. If you wish to join, however, the available group meetings in Guildford are held on the following Wednesdays in 2017:
