Driving innovation into the hands of health and care professionals

The new approach will enable NICE to draw in and review a higher number of medical technologies that meet national unmet needs, as set out in the Life Sciences Vision and in the NHS Long Term Plan.

This work on better understanding NHS needs, multiple technology evaluation and greater use of real-world evidence lays the foundation for future ambitions to scale up our evaluations of existing as well as new medical technologies for the health and care system.
