Event Details

Transport for Greater Manchester is committed to sustainability and we are actively involved in helping Greater Manchester to achieve its environmental targets towards carbon reduction. Responsible procurement is crucial for us and we want to work with suppliers who support an ethical and environmentally-conscious approach.

We want to increase our engagement with small and medium sized local businesses and support them with advice on the best environmental practices, and how to boost their environmental credentials when bidding for contracts.

Together with Business Growth Hub, we have arranged three half-day training sessions, specifically for SME’s in Greater Manchester. The training courses are fully funded, and will focus on how you can cut costs through improving resource efficiency and improving work-winning capacity.

We would strongly encourage you to take up this opportunity of support to help you improve your environmental performance and win more work with TfGM, other Greater Manchester Councils and beyond. One or two representatives from your company can attend each of the sessions, but you may find that different individuals in your company will benefit from different sessions.

There will be a record that your company has participated in this training, which you can use in tenders. There will also be an opportunity for you to arrange fully funded consultations with Business Growth Hub specialists to improve your company's performance.
