The Royal Bank of Scotland are delighted to be working alongside ASG Commercial, Anderson Shaw and Gilbert and Johnston Carmichael accountants to present 'Driving Your Business, Not the Other Way Round' on Thursday the 26th April between 10.00 and 12.00 at the Glenmoriston Hotel in Inverness.

This Educational seminar is aimed at customers buying, selling or looking to grow their Business in in the hospitality and leisure sectors. On the day there will be a chance to network with breakfast rolls, teas and coffees before four short informative sessions followed by a chance to ask any questions to our panel.

  • Approaching Your Bank – Al Wilson Senior Lending Manager RBS; This session will cover the preparation work involved with approaching your bank for finance, how much Banks will be willing to lend, details of the contribution required and the ongoing support you will receive from a Relationship Manager.

  • Changing Gears! - Jackie MacGregor from ASG commerical will draw on real life experience of running a Business and her top tips for driving growth.

  • Tax implications of buying and selling Businesses –John Todd (Partner) will deliver a short presentation on capital allowances and Paul McGonigal (Senior Tax Manager) will present on LBTT Two key tax areas to consider when buying and selling your Business

  • Preparing Your Business for Sale – an insight into the legal perspective of selling your business provided by Anderson, Shaw and Gilbert Solicitors.
