Drone Awareness Course for Emergency Services

A one-day workshop for managers and tacticians to gain understanding of this rapidly emerging new technology from experts in their fields.
At the end of the class, the participant should have an understanding of how to evaluate or plan for a small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) being considered for purchase or lease (including airframe, payload, power type, post-processing software etc.), what equipment needs to be purchased or leased to accompany the sUAS, what questions to ask manufacturers before purchase or lease, what the training requirements are, what the relevant CAA regulations are, and other safety considerations for public accountability.
Gemma Alcock is an award-winning innovator and UAS designer, with 3 years of professional water rescue experience. She is the founder and managing director for both SkyBound Innovations and The SkyBound Rescuer Project. She was the visionary behind this workshop and is responsible for many cutting-edge SAR UAS research projects, including National level research.
David Lane is an acclaimed technical adviser to national and international level projects e.g. ICARUS, AF3, Heli4Rescue where RPAS/UAVs and aviation are involved; an organiser of leading edge conferences and strategic personnel development events. Specialising in water safety, search and rescue, major weather related and flood events’ management, strategic command matters and emergency management.

What's the refund policy?
No refunds. If you are no longer able to attend the workshop then your name will remain on the workshop waiting list, providing you give one weeks notice. Less than one weeks notice will require you to pay again to attend the course at a later date.
