Join Crown Paints for a creative day of colour exploration at Material Source Studio London. Our Colour Experts, Kathryn Lloyd and Jemma Saunders, will be on hand alongside our Architectural & Design Consultant, Lauren Burnett, throughout the day for an open and interactive workshop where you can discuss all things colour.

From scheme development and inclusive palettes to finishes and technical considerations.

Colour Notation and Technical Colour CPD

The drop-in wokrshop will be available throughout the day, with our RIBA and BIID CPD, Colour Notation and Technical Colour, running from 12-1pm.

In this CPD, you will learn how the colour spectrum and technology can open a world of colour possibilities. Designers and architects will discover the designated coding of determining colour references with HUE/LIGHTNESS/CHROMA, critical to recognising each unique colour.

Experience Material Source Studio

Feel free to explore our space at Material Source Studio, where you will get the opportunity to get hands-on with colour. Our space features a display of all 160 shades included in Crown’s Colour Edit – a curated collection developed by our colour experts to inspire and support architects and designers when specifying palettes for every type of project, with pure paint samples available to help designers experiment, moodboard and develop ideas for their next project.

The dedicated mood board area also allows creativity and collaboration, complete with a lighting unit that simulates cool, day, and warm light environments. This setup allows designers to see how colours transform under different conditions, bringing every concept to life in an inspiring, tactile environment.
