Taking place at the new Haringey Fixing Factory, this exciting free repair ‘taster social’ has been made possible by our friends at Veolia. Come and get stuck into a variety of different repair activities (e.g. ‘taking apart a laptop’), hear how things work from the Fixing Factory experts, and enjoy free refreshments in a welcoming atmosphere.

Some of the activities that you'll be able to get involved with include:
- Free repair: Bring along an item and have it fixed by skilled volunteers (slots limited, first come first served).
- PAT Testing: Take part in testing appliances and understand the fundamentals of electrical safety
- Wiring Plugs: Rewire appliances and learn about how plugs work
- Gadget teardown challenge: Use specialist tools to see if you can get inside appliances - often trickier than you’d think!
- Museum-style repair exhibits: Learn about e-waste through mini exhibits of rescued electronic items from Veolia’s collection.
The taster social will be facilitated by experienced volunteers and our Fixing Factory workshop manager, guiding guests through each station to ensure maximum enjoyment of the morning.
