At the recent NHS Employers guardians of safe working conference, we announced that from October all current DRS customers will be able to access our new exception reporting module at no additional cost, to meet the new contractual requirement for an electronic system to manage exception reports from junior doctors.
Exception reporting replaces the old system of diary cards, and to help you prepare for this new process going live for the first trainees transitioning onto the new contract in October, Skills for Health will be running a series of free regional training sessions in late September.
A brief order of activity is listed below:
1) Presentation of new software and updated functionality
2) "breakout" session allowing you to access your exception reporting module and gain "hands-on" expereince with navigating through the system.
Due to expected high demand, spaces are limited to two people per trust, and we would strongly recommend that one of these people is your newly appointed guardian.
