Drug and Alcohol Awareness

Come join us at Lifford House for a short session focused on drug and alcohol awareness. Learn about the dangers of substance abuse, harm reduction, how to recognise signs of addiction, and learn what we offer at Change Grow Live, Birmingham.

We will look at:-

  • Signs and Symptoms
  • Drug Families, Effects and Examples
  • What are Nitazenes, What are the risks?
  • Physical Impact
  • Alcohol - What is the impact?
  • Emerging Drug Trends
  • Who are Change Grow Live and what do we offer in Birmingham?

The course is packed to the brim! But, there are plenty of activities and comfort break; It is not a nap in front of powerpoint! 😄

The course isn't here to train you how to be a substance misuse worker, but instead to give you important information, updates and build your confidence in supporting those who are struggling with addiction. Please read the FAQ below if any concerns, or drop me a message!

If you work with people struggling with substance/alcohol use, give the Eventbrite a follow for upcoming free courses, lunch & learns and webinars! We also offer free Naloxone (Overdose Kit) training, kits included!

***This course is for Health and Social Care workers/volunteers or professionals working in Birmingham only. If you are outside of Birmingham please contact your local services for training. Any questions or concerns please email me at helen.dale@cgl.org.uk***
