Drum Birthing Day at FRINGE YOGA EPPING

Come and step into the sublime space of Fringe Yoga for a day of deep creativity.

We begin at 12:30pm (make sure you've had some lunch beforehand!) with a grounding and connecting meditation and setting the intentions to birth your drum.

We will then have a sharing space to help us land and get to know our drum birthing tribe!

We then choose our hoops, working with the very bones of our drum, connecting to it, seeing if it needs anything before we work with it.

Then come the hides. You will have opportunity to get to know the different hides, feeling into which is calling out to become your drum. Again we work in ceremony, honouring these majestic beings and connecting in, seeing if they need anything before we work with them.

Then we will begin to prepare the materials, cutting the drum head and lacing, making the holes that we will thread through.

There will be a break for a shared meal and then we begin to weave our drums into being. Connecting hide and hoop, holding space for each other as each drum is born.

Once the drums have arrived we will make a beater and then take a drum journey to connect to the spirit of our drums.

This is a beautiful day, starting and ending a little later than most of my workshops. Please note timings.
