Drum Birthing Day

Welcome to Drum Birthing Day, where we celebrate the ancient art of creating handcrafted drums! Immerse yourself in the rhythmic world of drum making as you design and birth your very own unique drum!

Anna will guide you through the day, supporting you to ground and connect to nature as you craft your one-of-a-kind instrument to cherish for years to come.

We will be using a birch hoop and will learn about the qualities of the birch tree and how it can support you on your journey into the frame drum.

We will go on a guided drum journey to connect to the fallow deer and meet the spirit of our drum. We will then spend time to find ways to honour the animal and wood before creating our drums together.

There will be time to make your own beater from recycled materials and we will end the day with a sacred drum circle.

This workshop will take place at my home Studio in Hemel Hempstead.

Please bring your favourite dish to share at lunch and bring a stick for your beater. You may also want to bring a crystal to incorporate into the handle of your drum.

Spaces are limited so early booking is essential.
