Drum Therapy Training

Drum therapy is a powerful and dynamic practice that taps into the ancient healing power of rhythm to foster healing and transformation. Frame drums, characterised by their simple, circular shape and rich resonance, are particularly effective in this practice. The repetitive, soothing rhythms produced by these drums can alleviate pain, alter behavioural patterns, and promote a sense of overall well-being.

By training as a drum therapist, you’ll learn to harness these benefits to help clients achieve physical and emotional relief.

The Role of a Drum Therapist
As a drum therapist your role is to guide clients through rhythmic experiences tailored to their individual needs. You will:

* Assess clients needs: Understand the specific challenges and goals of each client, whether it’s pain management, behavioural change, or emotional healing

* Create rhythmic healing sessions: Use the drum to produce specific rhythms that resonate with the client’s needs, facilitating a therapeutic response

* Support transformation: Provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can engage with the rhythms, allowing for deep relaxation, emotional release, and behavioural shifts.

This course is a blend of in-person teaching, at-home study, coursework and case studies. On successful completion of each part of the course you will be awarded the qualification “Certificate in Drum Therapy”.

Alternatively, if you already hold a recognised, accredited qualification in Sound Healing or Sound Therapy, you may choose to attend this course as CPD and receive a certificate of attendance. For this, you will not be required to complete the coursework or case studies and will pay a reduced rate for the course.
