Dry Stone Walling Course

DRST are making a return to Nutwells, Buckland-in-the-Moor for the first dry stone walling course of 2026. The wall in need of repair is suitable for beginners and those wanting to practice working with granite. The repair is on a ‘New-take’ style wall on a slope, the front face is near vertical with the rear of the wall cascading down to ground level to enable livestock to be rounded up and headed back into the field should they escape.

The wall is sheltered under coniferous trees making the venue an ideal place to wall in the winter. Prepare a flask, get togged up, and bring your hammers!”
