Drypoint on Copper (short course)
Sat 3 December 2016, 11:00 – 16:00 GMT
Drypoint on Copper is a method of drawing and mark making directly on a metal plate with metal tools but without the need of then etching the metal. The plate is then inked and printed in the intaglio method using a press.
This technique can produce variations of line and texture, from fine detail to heavier marks, with a distinctive 'Bur' and is suitable for those who prefer quicker results and who enjoy the more physical action involved.
This course is suitable for those who are new to intaglio printmaking as well as those who have done a bit of etching previously and may wish to add another string to their bow.
All materials and notes are included in the price of this workshop. No previous experience of printmaking is required.
